There is nothing like an alpine lake in the Sierra Nevadas.

My name is Sarah. I left my 13 year legal career, sold my house, and am moving into my camper van to travel and see what happens next.

The start of a 8 day backpacking trip through the Sierras in August 2021 with the Sierra Club.

I’m a recovering lawyer, recovering alcoholic, and am happiest when I’m in the woods and don’t have to shower.

After practicing law for 13 years, I am finally admitting it is not for me. (Thanks pandemic self-reflection.) I’m not entirely sure what comes next, but I have a two year Master’s program to complete (that is part-time and fully remote). So I’m going to hit the road—aiming for April-May 2022—and see what happens. I’m excited, terrified, but/and ready to take the leap.
